Palo Verde National Park and Guaitil Visit

 

TOUR DESCRIPTION

Palo Verde National Park is the most important nesting, reproducting and feeding site for either resident or migratory birds in Costa Rica.

Ride a boat along the longest river in the northwest side of the country and be able to discover the high diversity of wildlife in this Conservation Park. 
On this tour you will be amazed to observe monkeys, iguanas and crocodiles. After a real costarrican lunch, get to know the pottery secrets at Guaitil visit.

Days

Monday, Wednesday & Friday
Driving time is 1:45 hours each way
Pick up time: 7:30 am (Pinilla) / 7:30 am (Tamarindo) / 8:00 am Conchal / 7:45 am Flamingo
Return: 3:00 pm Conchal / 3:15 pm Flamingo / 3:30 pm Tamarindo / 3:3 pm Pinilla

Age & Equipment

Minimum age: Not required
Suggested fitness level: Low

Equipment:
Hat, binoculars, snickers, camera or video, insect repellent, rain gear (rainy season), sandals, sun glasses and money (for gratuities & shopping)

$  100  with 3 people minimum
$  105  with 2 people minimum

Prices do not apply for customers staying at The Sanctuary Resort.

Additional Notes

On the way to this national park you will drive through sugar cane and cantaloupe farms, and in season you can see the harvesting process.
